About AWS Route 53 Domain
Amazon Route 53 is a highly available and scalable Domain Name System (DNS) web service. You can use Route 53 to perform three main functions in any combination: domain registration, DNS routing, and health checking.
Module Requirement
1. WHMCS 6/7.x/8.x
2. AWS Route 53 API Access Key ID and Secret access key
3. Domains and DNS option must be enabled with API
How to upload the file
1. Log in to your client area https://whmcsglobalservices.com/members/clientarea.php and download Amazon Route 53
2. Download the zip module folder from our site to log in with your account (https://whmcsglobalservices.com/members/clientarea.php).
3. Unzip the zip folder.
4. Upload the folder "amazon_registrar" with your WHMCS server (whmcsdir/modules/registrars/).
5. Upload the folder "amazondomaintlds" with your WHMCS server (whmcsdir/modules/addons/).
6. Upload the folder "awsdnsmanager" with your WHMCS server (whmcsdir/modules/addons/).
Note: For TLD's Sync/Domain Importer and DNS Management, you need to buy Business or Enterprise package. With Basic package you will get only Domain Registrar module.
How to activate the registrar module with WHMCS
1. Log in as your WHMCS admin.
2. Go to "System Settings">> "Domain Registrars".
3. Find "Amazon Route 53" registrar module.
4. Clink on the "Activate" button to activate the module.
5. After activation, click on the "Configure" button to configure the module.
6. Enter your "Access Key ID, Secret Access Key, Module License Key, Region, Auto Renew Domain (enable/disable), Glue IP (Enable it to use glue IP with nameserver), Auto Renew From Clientarea (Enable for auto renew) from given configuration fields.
7. Click on save changes to save the settings.
How to add the domain TLDs for AWS Route 53 Domain?
1. Log in as your WHMCS admin.
2. to "System Settings" >> "Domain Pricing".
3. Add TLD (.com, .net, .org, etc) and also assign the registrar module "Amazon Route 53" with these TLDs from the "Auto Registration" dropdown.
'Note:' Do not forget to set the price. With an empty price, WHMCS will not allow adding the domain to the cart.
How to activate and configure the DNS Management and TLD's/Domain Importer addon modules with WHMCS
1. Login as your WHMCS admin.
AWS Route 53 DNS manager
- Go to "System Settings" >> "Addon Modules" >> "AWS Route 53 DNS manager".
- Click on "Activate" button to activate the module
- After that click on "Configure" button to configure the module
- Enter your AWS "Access Key ID"
- Enter your AWS "Secret Key"
- Enter your AWS "Region"
Amazon Route 53 TLD's/Domain Importer
- Go to "System Settings" >> "Addon Modules" >> "Amazon Route 53 TLD's/Domain Importer".
- Click on "Activate" button to activate the module
- After that click on "Configure" button to configure the module
- Enter your AWS "Access Key ID"
- Enter your AWS "Secret Key"
- Enter your AWS "Region"
- Choose "Payment Gateway" to place new order during domain imports with clients
How to Import TLD's in WHMCS
1. Login as your WHMCS admin.
2. Go to Addon Modules and click on "Amazon Route 53 TLD's and Domain Importer"
3. After that from main page of module (means under TLD'S Import & Pricing Sync)
4. Choose "Choose TLD's csv file" (In download zip module bundle you will get a CSV file amazonpricetld.csv. Choose that file for it.)
5. Set margin price for domain register
6. Set margin price for domain transfer
7. Set margin price for domain renew
8. Select default domain registrar module for import TLD's. Choose as "amazon_register"
How to Import TLD's in WHMCS
1. Login as your WHMCS admin.
2. Go to Addon Modules and click on "Amazon Route 53 TLD's and Domain Importer"
3. After that click on "Import Domains"
On this page you will get list of all WHMCS customers and AWS domains list inside your AWS account. You will select specific WHMCS customer, assign specific domain, tick on first checkbox and enter Expiry date of the domain and then click on "Add Order". On click on add order module will place an new order for all selected customers with specific domain.
Note: For TLD's Sync/Domain Importer and DNS Management, you need to buy Business or Enterprise package. With Basic package you will get only Domain Registrar module.
